Check translation status
The app’s “Translations” page shows the translation state of each product, per language.
The three states
Section titled “The three states”| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Translated | Translated, and up to date |
| Outdated | The tags changed after they were translated. The translation is stale |
| Not translated | No translation exists for that language |
“Outdated” is the state that is easiest to miss. For example, you change a Japanese tag from 新作 to 2026春夏 but the English translation still says “New arrival”. This catches drift that you cannot see with standard tags.
Reading the list
Section titled “Reading the list”- Only products that have multilingual tags are listed
- Clicking a product name opens its admin page
- 50 products are shown per page, with “Show the next 50” when there are more
Fixing what’s missing
Section titled “Fixing what’s missing”Open the products that need attention in Translate & Adapt and fill in the metafield value for each language. The steps and a link are in the sidebar of that page.
Current limitations
Section titled “Current limitations”- The counts in the heading are for the current page only, not the whole store
- You can’t filter the list down to untranslated products
- There is no “previous 50” link. Use your browser’s back button
- If only the default language is published, the page shows guidance instead of a list
